ACCRA

Ghana

The weekend ministry completed Dr. Sos’s itinerary in Africa. Liberty Center Assembly of God, pastored by Rev. Sam Ato Bentil, is a well run and organized congregation, with many outreach ministries serving their community and mission around the country. Two Sunday services are filled with excellent worship and preaching ministry. Dr. Sos ministered in both of these services. Great response by the congregation was the confirmation that these believers came to experience God.

ACCRA

Ghana

Last year, Dr. Sos and Barbara were invited to a meeting with the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Dr. Paul Frimpong Manso.

General Superintendent of AoG, Ghana

During their conversation certain needs were brought up. After visiting their publishing house, Dr. Sos has seen the need for more printing presses and other equipment to help them to put out greater number of books and Christian materials. It was a great joy for Dr. Sos to see the equipment safely delivered and installed in the printing shop.

We would like to express our thanks to Mr. Peter Ng, who has donated presses, perforating machine, folder, camera, plate making machine, colour separation machine and photo copier.

MAMPROBI

Ghana

From Elmina, Dr Sos traveled to see the village where the container goods have been sent at the end of last year.  Rev. Robert Arhin, senior pastor of Hope Assembly of God church in Mamprobi has planted a church in this village and started this school. When Barbara and I visited it for the first time, Barbara’s heart connected with these children. She was the major force behind the shipment of clothing, shoes, school supplies, rice, school equipment and other such items that she was able to send for children.

When Dr. Sos arrived to see the distributed goods, the children were looking for mom Barbara. We thank all Canadian families who gave the donations. New class rooms are being constructed, and the library expanded.

Southern Ghana Bible College has been around for many years. Students from many parts of the country have studied at this institution, being prepared for the ministry in the Kingdom of God. Several years ago, Dr. Sos lectured  in a special session of the student body. Efforts were made to help the College to elevate their program to accredited status. This time Dr. Sos was back for further talks with the Principal Dr. Frederic Kyereko, who’s interest is to bring best possible programs to Ghana. Dr. Sos believes that this College has a great potential to become significant educational institution in the future.
