After being at home and ministering at Southside Assembly, Dr. Sos started his trip to Africa, with the stop over in Paris, Ontario, ministering at Cedarview Evangelistic Centre, where Rev. Gerry Tonn is the senior pastor. Since his coming to Paris, the church expanded with several adjacent facilities for services to the community and advancement of their own programs. Dr. Sos ministered in the Sunday morning service and then continued his journey to Africa.
On the way home from Asia, Dr. Sos stopped in Ontario for his nephew’s wedding. This was a great opportunity to visit the Full Gospel Church in St. Catharines. To his surprise, the church looked quite different than what he used to remember. The renovation changed the sanctuary to a place where people can truly enjoy the services. Rev. Jim Wright, the senior pastor is doing an excellent job, leading this congregation to a new level of ministry. It was great to be there.
The last month Dr. Sos and Barbara were busy preparing the container for Ghana and a shipment of theological books to Sierra Leone. The Lord has helped us to receive donations including printing presses, folding machine, perforator, camera, plate making machine and photo copier from High Speed Printing, Edmonton. We would like to thank the owner Peter for his generosity. Also Scott Craig and the owner of Cratex Industries LTD. who have been a tremendous help to us by packaging amd lowering the shipping cost to a minimum. Many others donated clothing articles, school books, Bibles, school supplies and rice. Also many thanks to Hans & Gaby Reimann for donating a Dodge Van to a pastor in Accra.
Dr. Sos and Barbara are very excited to be able to help the needy and especially the children whom we visited on our last trip.
Each year Dr. Sos and Barbara visit churches that supports their ministry. This year we were excited to be with Warden Full Gospel Assembly, Toronto, pastored by Rev. Roger Malcolm. Over the years the church has developed a deep sense for missions. The vision of pastor Malcolm continues in this direction. The local outreach ministry and the support for worldwide missions continues to generate souls for the Kingdom of God. We are privileged to work together with this assembly to bless the nations of the World.
SPA for Life, is the church, where Dr. Sos and Barbra worship when they are home between their itinerant ministries. This weekend SPA cellebrated Thanksgiving. Dr. Sos was invited to speak on the topic of “World Missions”. We are excited about the good work that Rev. Douglas G. Crouse and his pastoral team are doing. The church has 38 nationalities in their congregation. Edmonton is a missions field for any church that wants to reach out and minister to the nations.
Dr. Stefan Sos and Barbara were at Warden Full Gospel Assembly, for their Missions Sunday service. They were very excited to see so many new people. The Lord is blessing the ministry of pastor Roger Malcolm and his staff who are continuously reaching out to their community and spreading the Gospel in their neighborhood. They are also a very mission minded church, supporting the work of the Lord in many countries around the world.
Yet another church camp ministry, for Barbara and Dr. Sos. Upon our return to Edmonton, we were invited to minister at Alberta Beach Pentecostal Camp. It was very exciting for us, because it was a ministry to the German speaking audience. The Lord blessed us with believers who were hungry for more of God. Each service was unequally blessed of the Lord. The excellent choir music this morning was a highlight, enjoyed by everyone. All around, great time.
For many years we were looking forward to invite the General Superintendent of Gereja Pantekosta di Indonesia, Rev. A.H. Mandey, to visit Canada. Our working relationship of 12 years with GPdI has been a joy and a privilege. We were able to minister in many District and National Conferences, teaching at various Bible Colleges and helping their Orphanages and Christian School with financial support. We wanted to introduce Rev. Mandey to the Executive Committee of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and the Pastors of Mill Woods and Southside Assembly, who have supported many of their projects in the past.
Our first ministry trip in 2009 began in Toronto,ON. After two years we were privileged to visit Warden Full Gospel Assembly again and minister to this fine congregation. Barbara and I were looking forward to hear and to see the progress this church is experiencing under the leadership of Rev. Roger Malcolm. Great worship time and good response to the preaching of the Word of God resulted in beautiful altar-call ministry. We are trusting for great things the Lord will do in this place.
