The last weekend in Asia was dedicated to the ministry of City Revival Church. Pastor Suresh invited Dr. Sos back to his church to teach a seminar on “People God Uses“, Elijah’s life and ministry. Three days of impartation resulted in excellent responses by the leaders of CRC.

The Sunday service was another highlight to conclude the Asia ministry. The church congregation is growing and the Lord is opening new ministry opportunities for reaching out to their community and beyond Malaysia.

Earthquake Relief

Pastor Samy Pacleb went to Guilungan Negros Oriental with Ps. Shamgars church to distribute the donations given by a Canadian  believers. They were able to purchase 3 boxes of can sardines , 8 boxes special  noodles , 3 boxes milo, another cereal. Thats makes 45 packs for 45 most need families with Ps. Shamgars church and another 25 packs for 25 families with Ps. Eleazar Sarabias church. This is in Jimalalud, Negros Oriental. The families were very happy, extending their thanksgiving the SOS Ministry International and Dr. Sos and Barbara for their love for them .

National Conference of GPdI, Indonesia 2012

This years 32nd National Conference of the Gereja Pantecosta di Indoesia, has reached a milestone in their achievements and their expansion with the 90th Anniversary of the movement. Now they are standing at the threshold of new challenges for this next decade, moving towards 100 years of GPdI. Dr Sos was invited to be one of the keynote speakers for this occasion. In the opening ceremonies many good musical presentations such as, native songs, special choirs and music groups were ministering. The Governor  of North Sulawesi, Dr S.H.Sarundajan, and the director for religious affairs were the main speakers at these ceremonies. The Superintendent A. H. Mandey welcomed also the delegation from the Four Square Church of the USA .

The second night Dr. Sos spoke on the topic of leadership, the topic was  ”Men God Uses.” It was a real blessing to see the response of the pastors and leaders to this appropriate challenge. The move of the Holy Spirit brought changes to the lives of many leaders. An unforgettable experience for many.

KABANKALAN, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL

Dr. Sos  and Barbara returned to Kabankalan, to continue equipping the pastors of this region for more effective ministry. The Lord has been blessing the pastors with much needed support and help for the churches. In the past few months we were able to put  a much needed roof on one of the church buildings, purchase cows for the village pastors, continue renovations at the Bible School, and this time purchase more land for a sugarcane  plantation. Pastor Sammy Pacleb organized a seminar for the pastors and leaders of the area. The topic was “Multiplication”

Barbara was busy shopping for food, blankets for the students,children’s clothes  and some household items for the pastor’s wives. May the Lord continue to bless our efforts in the Philippines.

PALEMBANG

Each year as Dr. Sos and Barbara travel to Asia, they see Gods work in progress. In Palembang, Sumatra, we are seeing progress in many area of ministry.The church is forging ahead with ministry design to reach their community as well as training and equipping leadership for the task ahead. On the weekend Dr. Sos was ministering in the GPDI church in Palembang where Pastor J. K. Siwi, is the senior pastor. They have two Sunday morning services in different locations. Monday and Tuesday Dr. Sos taught a seminar on “Church Membership“. In the morning Dr. Sos taught at the Bible School. The students were very excited to learn and to receive any instruction for enriching their ministry. The subject was “Weapons Mighty in God.”  It was a great joy to work with them.

KABANKALAN CITY, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL

The work at Binalbagan continues. Dr. Stefan Sos was teaching another seminar on “Anointing.”  Pastors of 6 different denominations took part on the seminar as well as the discussion  after wards. The seminar was organized by Ptr. Macroosoqe B. Pimentel, Chairman of the Pastoral Association, Negros Occidental, and Rev. Sammy Pacleb, District Director, Fellowship Churches of Philippines. The seminar was a great success.

On Sunday, Dr. Sos was ministering at “Koinonia” Church, and in the mountain at a village church of the fellowship churches. Both services were uniquely blessed of the Lord. The village church celebrated their “Third Annual Thanksgiving.” SOS Ministries is helping the mountain pastors with humanitarian help, providing rice and lives necessities. This time we also brought some glasses for the pastors and their wife’s.  We also purchased a roof for the village church. In the coming month we will purchase another rice field to provide additional rice for the poor. The two young men (below) received support from the “Logos” Foundation, Slovenia, to plant two new churches on the island.

City Revival Church is moving unto new heights in their ministry. They want to conclude this year with a substantial growth and increased outreach ministries in missions and local ministry. Rev Suresh invited Dr. Sos to come and teach a seminar on “Hermeneutics.” Rev. Suresh believes that his members must be equipped with adequate understanding how to study their Bible properly in order to become more efficient soul winners. The weekend service was a great blessing to all.

SURABAYA

The ministry of Dr. Sos moved to Surabaya, Java, where the main event of the 90th Anniversary took place. The first day celebrations were held in the first church of this Pentecostal movement. We have seen 90 years of history and how the Lord has built His church in this county. Started by missionaries from Seattle, WA till this day, the hand of the Lord is upon this denomination. The second day the venue changed to  the Expo building with final celebrations, including speakers such as the mayor of the city, government politician and the concluding message by Rev. A.H. Mandey. Dr. Sos was privileged to be able to share his messages and encourage the leaders to move on even in a greater measure of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. We are believing for a great decade ahead.

JAKARTA

Traveling to Indonesia is always exciting. This time Dr. Sos was very excited, because he was invited to be the speaker for the 90th Anniversary of the GPdI. The ministry began in Jakarta at Gereja Pantekosta di Indonesia, pastored by Re. A.H. Mandey, the Superintendent of this 15,000 churches denomination.The weekend was filled with the ministry to the young couples, 4 services on Sunday and the ministry to Jakarta District pastors on Monday. Dr. Sos was blessed to see, how the Lord is using this ministry to reach out and expand the Kingdom of God.

KUALA LUMPUR

Metro Tabernacle Church, AG, pastored by Rev.Ong Sek Leang, relocated to a new place of worship last January. Since then many new programs were implemented. One vision of the leadership is to establish  reputable Bible College.  TCA Malaysia is now fully operational. Dr. Sos taught  the course  “Angelology”, a  study of the spirits world. It was a great joy to see many mature students entering the program. The picture shows only some of the students of this class.
