The church in Croatia is expanding beyond the boarders of Zagreb, (the capital of Croatia) to its neighbouring towns and cities. Rev. Sasa Bocvarov, is the overseer of five churches in the Zagreb area and Rev. Jasmin Avdagic, Superintendent of the movement, is also pastoring several churches on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Barbara and I, spent two days in Zagreb. On the first day Dr. Sos met with the pastors for a discussion of further teaching topics. The next day  he ministered in the church membership meeting, and  in the evening in the service for all believers. It was very productive  time. We are blessed to see the work of the Lord go ahead and new churches being planted.

The Lord’s work in Croatia is going forward. Our ministry and commitment to the churches is to mentor leadership and help them to set up powerful ministries across their country. This time  Dr. Sos conduced  several meetings with the leaders and several services. It was a real blessing to see what the Lord is doing with the churches.

This year Dr Sos was invited back to Croatia, to teach in the cities of Šibenik and Zagreb to teach on the subject of “Faith”. In Šibenik we had two days of seminars and evening services. It was great to see how well the seminar was received there. This church plant is moving ahead very strong as people are being saved and added to the church.

In Zagreb we had 2 days of seminar and one evening service. The meetings were very well attended  and it was a blessing to us to see that the Zagreb church is growing, and  planting new churches in the area, to bring the Gospel to the lost. We pray that the teaching will bring much fruit for the Kingdom of God.

The work of the Lord in Zagreb is growing. We are excited to see how much effort is put into evangelism and discipleship to take in the harvest for the Lord. Barbara and I came to minister to the leadership as well as to the four congregations of Zagreb. We are blessed to be part of this growing movement. The latest publication of their Christian news paper is creating great responses by the unbelievers as well as in the church community.

PASMAN

For the past 6 years we have been privileged to work with several congregations in Zagreb and for the last 4 years with a newly planted church in Sibenik. The Lord has blessed the church with growth and expansion to several different locations around the city of Zagreb. We held seminars and training sessions for the pastors for even more effective ministry. This time Barbara and I were together with them on the island of Pasman on the Adriatic Sea for a retreat.  Barbara ministered to the ladies and I helped them with structuring some of the aspects of the movement. It was a great time. We felt the work of the Spirit in every session. With great joy we left these meetings because we saw the leadership encouraged and the work of the Lord affirmed. The Lord will do great things in the future.

 On Saturday night we ministered in Zagreb. As a growing church they are experiencing new challenges to meet the needs of the congregation. The newly established children’s ministry is a great blessing to the church as well as to the children of pre-believers. The Lord gave an opportunity to rent a facility where they can now hold weekly services, prayer meetings and special celebration services. It was great to see how the presence of His Holy Spirit is working among them.

Sibenik is an old city. Many tourists come to see the beauty of the architecture and the history the city provides. Several years ago the church in Zagreb felt the burden for planting the church there. Pastor Jasmin Avdagic was appointed and sent there. We were excited about that work and so we decided to support it. Now the church is growing and the congregation obtained their permanent place of worship. Barbara and I visited and ministerd there with great joy to see the work of the Lord established.

Over the years the churches in Croatia developed good worship and openness to the move of the Holy Spirits. Every time we come to Zagreb we enjoy the fellowship with the pastoral team and the services in the church. This time we brought along Rev. Daniel Mihalic from Paris, ON. to minister in seminars and services. We were blessed to see the hand of God upon the leadership and their desire to serve God in a greater capacity. The seminars were well attended. In the service we have seen people saved and touched by the Lord.

For the last two years we were supporting the church plant in Sibenik on the Adriatic Sea. Pastor Jasmin moved there with his wife from Zagreb and began the ministry with the help of some friends. Today they have several families and some newly saved people in their church. Read More »
